Frequently asked questions

Short answers about Tetra Ars in your browser and what the other pages on this site are for.

Can I play on this website?

Yes. Open Play (/play/) to run the game in your browser in the browser. No APK or desktop install is required, and you do not need an account. The other pages on this site (/about/, /how-to/, /faq/) are guides and studio links.

What is Practice and AI?

Practice is solo: learn movement, hard drop, and line clears, and chase a personal best. AI lets you fight several difficulty levels without waiting for another person. Both modes are on the game title screen at /play/.

How does online multiplayer work?

Open /play/, then choose random matchmaking on the title screen. This site’s matchmaking service looks for another player. You can also create or join a room with a code in the game.

There is no room-code field and no lobby chat on the marketing pages. Matching starts from the in-game title screen only.

Do I need an account here?

No. This website has no visitor accounts. The browser game may store language and key-map preferences locally on your device. Online sessions use this site’s matchmaking and realtime services when you choose multiplayer.

What makes Tetra Ars different from classic Tetris?

Beyond move, rotate, soft/hard drop, and hold, Tetra Ars adds skill moves — column dash, hard left/right, center snap, sonic drop, 180° rotate — and a full custom keymap (Settings → Keys) so you can bind every action the way you play.

Where are controls documented?

See How to play for browser play steps, modes, and helpful desktop keys (fullscreen, rules overlay, music mute, 3D/2D). Phones use on-screen touch controls. Every skill action can be remapped in Settings → Keys.

Will this site show ads?

We may show advertising (for example Google AdSense) on these pages. Ads do not change matchmaking or scores. See Privacy for hosting logs, cookies, and contact details.
